Old Combine

My brother Dick bought this combine new in the late 1950's. It was sold at auction, and then sold at another auction a second time. It is now on a farm next to his daughter's farm! She was surprised to see it there. She took these photos and sent them to me. I helped run that combine behind a Farmall H many years ago. Brings back good memories.

I blew it up 400% and then i could make out an IHC decal on the bottom pic. Sorry cant help with a model. maybe 80

IH model 80. Nice combines that didn't take a lot of power to run and didn't shake the dickens out of ya or at least not too bad. Ate a lot of dust working with one of those. Kippster

I have watched the mid west over for a IH 80 . Not many of them ever sold in Tenn but sure would like to fine a nice one to keep.

My cousin started off with a 52 in 1954, then a 76, finally an 80 before he went a self-propelled 203. All were good machines back in the day. We ran the 52 with his H, and the others with his '56 300 which had TA & live PTO.
