I Love Tractors | My name is Magnus Olsson and I am from Sweden. I grew up on my Grandparent's ranch in the middle of Sweden, and I have lots of wonderful memories from all the seasons and the different shores me and my twinbrother participated in. Ever since then, I've been interested in tractors, and at age 16, I bought a Fordson Power Major, -61, with a localy built frontloader. The previous owner had died eight years earlier, and the tractor had been parked ever since. Over time, the pistons had rusted stuck inside the cylinders, and I had to take the engine apart. My level of knowledge was very low, but I was eager to learn. It took lots of work, (including putting the pushrods back completely wrong). I remember we were towing the Fordson, and it started coughing black smoke out of the exaustpipe. It was a great fealing when the engine finally started! Today I'm 26 years old and I have made lots of modifications on my Fordson. One of them is installation of power steering, because of the extra weight the front loader adds. I use it a lot for plowing snow and grading dirt roads and I'll never sell it! Magnus Olsson, entered 2001-05-25 My Email Address: Not Displayed |
